Privacy Policy
1. Information We Collect
When you create an account, we collect only what your chosen sign-in method provides: • Phone number, if you sign in with SMS • Your name, email address, and a unique Apple identifier, if you sign in with Apple (if you choose to hide your email, we only ever see the private relay address Apple generates) • Your name, email address, and profile photo, if you sign in with Google • Your X (Twitter) handle and profile photo, if you sign in with X We never see or store your password — authentication is handled entirely by Apple, Google, X, or SMS one-time codes. We additionally collect, only if you turn them on: a device push-notification token, and which portfolios you follow or have enabled trade alerts for. If you subscribe to Premium, we store whether your subscription is active — all payment details are handled directly by the App Store and never reach our servers. We do not currently use any analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs of any kind. We do not sell or rent your personal data to third parties.
2. How We Use Your Information
Your account information is used solely to authenticate your session, remember which portfolios you follow, deliver the trade-alert push notifications you've opted into, and verify your subscription status. We may use your contact information to send important service updates, such as changes to our Terms of Use or Privacy Policy. We will never send unsolicited marketing messages without your explicit consent.
3. Data Sources
All portfolio and transaction data displayed in Insider Tracker is sourced exclusively from publicly available government and regulatory filings, including: • U.S. House and Senate periodic transaction reports (PTR) under the STOCK Act • SEC Form 4 filings for corporate insiders • SEC Schedule 13F filings for institutional investors • Official company press releases and investor relations disclosures Insider Tracker does not receive, use, or process any non-public or material insider information.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your account data is stored securely using Supabase, which operates on enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure with encryption at rest and in transit. We apply reasonable security measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction. In the event of a data breach that affects your personal data, we will notify you as required by applicable law.
5. Third-Party Services
Insider Tracker relies on the following third-party services, each of which may process a limited slice of your data as described below and has its own privacy policy we recommend reviewing: • Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage • Apple (Sign in with Apple) — optional sign-in • Google (Google Sign-In) — optional sign-in • X (Twitter) OAuth — optional sign-in • Expo — app framework and push-notification delivery (receives your device push token) • RevenueCat — subscription management (receives an anonymous user identifier and your subscription status) • Apple App Store — processes all Premium subscription payments directly; we never receive or store your card details
6. Your Rights and Account Deletion
You can permanently delete your account at any time, directly in the app — no need to contact us: go to Settings and tap "Delete account". This immediately and permanently deletes your account and all associated data, including your profile, followed portfolios, and notification preferences. This action cannot be undone. You can also request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data by emailing privacy@insidertracker.app.
7. Children's Privacy
Insider Tracker is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately and we will take steps to delete it.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting a notice in the app or sending you a notification. Your continued use of Insider Tracker after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
